Production Storage Filename Translation for NLEs

Different Media Asset Management solutions have different approaches to media files naming. A file naming can be provided either by a user or a system itself. Both methods have certain disadvantages.
Ingest operators waste time assigning unique filenames and trying to make them clear and straightforward to colleagues. MAM solution on the other hand can create a filename automatically but the name appears to be incomprehensible.

While recording and importing new media files the system automatically assigns the unique filenames. It saves time and provides a comprehensible filename in random order. This has been made possible due to the Virtual Folders functionality Hard Links.
